Anderson Archival is pleased to announce that Shana Scott has earned the prestigious Certified Archivist (CA) credential from the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA), a nationally recognized certification that demonstrates professional knowledge, competence, and commitment to archival principles and standards.
The Certified Archivist credential is awarded to professionals who successfully pass the ACA certification examination, which assesses knowledge across eight domains of archival practice. The certification serves as an independent verification of an archivist’s expertise and dedication to the standards and best practices that guide the profession.

Scott has been a member of the Anderson Archival team for eleven years and holds a master’s degrees in Professional Writing and Publishing. Throughout her career, she has pursued extensive professional development in preservation, digitization, digital preservation, and records management.
As Archives Technical Lead at Anderson Archival, Scott works with organizations and institutions to preserve and provide access to historically significant collections, helping ensure that valuable records, photographs, documents, and other materials remain accessible for future generations.
