LEGACY PACKAGES

What Is a Finding Aid?

At high-volume scanning companies you may only end up with a folder filled with numbered images. How then do you find a picture from a specific event without sifting through the thousands of unidentified images? At Anderson Archival, we provide a comprehensive finding aid you can use to locate your documents and photos with ease.

An Index for Your Collection

A finding aid is basically an index for your digital legacy. Unless you choose to upload your collection to a digital library, a finding aid is necessary to quickly search your files. It shows the categories the collection is divided into, the subfolders found within each category, and the final file names. This allows you to narrow your search before you ever open a single file.

Custom Intake Finding Aid

While our general finding aid gathers items into broader categories, Anderson Archival’s Custom Discovery and Intake can go much more granular and include far more information, such as dates, names, titles, individual item listings, and more. Whatever your collection needs, we can provide!
